Phone: (262) 741-7912

Dear Lake Partners,

Is there interest by those in your organization to get involved with the Clean Boats, Clean Waters watercraft inspection program? If so, Walworth County’s Land Use and Resource Management Department will be hosting a Clean Boats, Clean Waters (CBCW) in-person training event in cooperation with the Wisconsin DNR and the Geneva Lake Environmental Agency.  Event attendees will learn about CBCW, preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species, and how they can help improve the quality of our area's lakes and rivers.  The training is geared towards those volunteers looking to be boat inspectors, as well as current volunteers and inspectors looking for refresher training.

The CBCW training event will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Walworth County Government Center located at 100 W. Walworth Street in Elkhorn.

The event is FREE and open to the public.  Register online by June 1st.

Please see the attached flyer and feel free to share with others who may be interested.  Additional information will be posted on Walworth County’s website and Facebook in the coming days.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 262-741-4972 or mbonneville@co.walworth.wi.us.
